Re: Traction Control + Knock Control Strategy
You can try changing the sensitivity but it usually does not work that well. It is worth looking at the engine / trans because sometimes it is something simple like the exhaust hitting the frame which gives the noise. I tried desensitizing the knock sensitivity low table and it did seemingly nothin...

Re: FlashPro Manager feature request thread
Bump, After further review and years of use and abuse, the following features would be wonderful, if feasible. A.) Show target lambda overlay values as a table (like sManager) . How about an entire table of target lambda instead of low/med/high? B.) Boost Control Quick Spool unit adjustment ( curren...

Re: Traction Control + Knock Control Strategy
More info proving this is ghost knock. Here is a sensor overlay of a 20 minute hpde track session showing 37 knocks, all on cylinder #2, all below 4000rpm, all on low cam. There is zero k.counts in boost or on anything on high cam for that matter, yet the high cam pays the price (so to say). https:/...

Re: Traction Control + Knock Control Strategy
I also found this thread which references common phantom/ghost knock on cylinder #2, which leads me to believe it's mechanical noise/NVH induced.

I'll check valve clearances as well.

Re: Traction Control + Knock Control Strategy
1. Nope, not normal. In the two datalogs I see the knock control is vastly different (55% vs 100%), and that will give different running and knock counts. 2. Disable the misfire detection. There is no downside. 3. The ECU will look at engine load and knock noise, and then adjust the knock control a...

Traction Control + Knock Control Strategy
Hello Doug and Hondata Team, Long time FlashPro user and self-tuner. Curious about recommendations on TC + OEM Knock Control strategies. Just finished up a CD009 swap and am finally able to test the limits of Hondata Traction control. I have 3 comments and 3 related questions: Cliff notes: 70% HPDE-...

FlashPro Manager 3.4.2.0 bug report: Settings import-export
Hello Doug and Hondata team, I'd like to report a bug in FP manager 3.4.2.0 (unknown if earlier too). Please visit this unlisted youtube link to see the bug: https://youtu.be/wBeuQ7F-kTk In summary, the settings import/export is not properly saving the target AFR (perhaps other settings?) Thanks in ...

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?
Hey guys my tuner attempted to tune my car for flex this past weekend and this is what we found. Not to mention, this was his first time tuning flashpro's flex tables. Setup: continental flex fuel sensor, jun1or's friend's signal converter, wired into ect2 port on the ecu. We set up the signal conv...

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?
I have a friend that makes digital to analog converters for this. No gauge needed, or he does sell an add-on gauge. Not sure if it's allowed to solicit sales here however? It's on a BMW forum, ⚠️ PM for details. Disclaimer: aside from 20 year friends, I have no financial affiliation to my friend Sc...

Re: FlexFuel (E85) system support?
February 2018 marks 4 years on this thread. Quality work takes time. Two things I love about this update: 1.) Addition of the new table: ethanol ignition multiplier (did not see that coming, was expecting a static 6x2 table like e% fuel comp) 2.) Test results and recommended settings from real-world...
