Re: Help with VTC issue

The ignition timing changes at idle are normal - see 'ignition controlled idle'. Sorry, maybe i haven't explained propertly. The problem at idle is not ignition timing related. There is a rpm surge and i know is normal for the ECU to try to bring the rpm up by advancing ignition timing, but the pro...

Help with VTC issue

Hello, Can you please help me with this? Car: Hyundai Accent K20A2 (EDM Type-R) Swap circuit race car. Stock engine. Kpro V4 board installed on PRA ECU, all bought from CPL Racing (uk) Problem: Sometimes, by no aparent reason, CAM and CAMCMD turns to 0 degrees so engine lose power and AFR ratio goes...

MAP sensor failure or software bug?

Hello, I've attached a log file from a customer's FN2. The calibration (AFM enabled MAP based fuel) is NOT TUNED. Is the first log i told him to send me. MAP sensor reads more than 150 kPa at WOT (car is naturally aspirated) and ECU seems to be applying boost ignition, fuel and WOT lambda adjustment ...

Re: Install solenoid FN2 ECU 2007

I you have an Apexi AVC-R why you not just use it to control boost pressure?

Re: Alpha-N barometric correction

The TPS is used for table indexes rather than the MAP sensor. I'm not sure why you think that this is not alpha-n. I haven't said is not Alpha-N, i've said is not a true Alpha-N. A true Alpha-N is just TPS vs RPM, being strongly recommended the use of IAT and barometric correction. An air pressure ...

Can you please tell me if, in an Alpha-N calibration, the "Engine Load" condition of Nitrous control is raw MAP or TPS to MAP converted/calculated values?

Thanks in advance.
Can i get a reply for this please?

Maybe i haven't explained the question propertly.

Best regards.

Main/Secondary tables Load

Hello,

I wonder if will be possible in future versions of Smanager to have different load look up on main and secondary tables to allow, for example, Alpha-N in main tables, and MAP based on secondary.

Thanks in advance for the reply.
Best regards.

Re: Alpha-N barometric correction

Thanks for the reply Spunkster. I've tuned many systems using Alpha-N and never need a retune. Just a proper baro and IAT correction. That leads to aprox. same altitud fuel differences as MAP based systems only being superseded by MAF based systems in elevation change stability. I know is difficult ...

Alpha-N barometric correction

Hi there, I'm trying to figure out how to deal with barometric pressure changes in Alpha-N calibrations. I know there is a MAP rescale based on atmospheric pressure but i wonder how it works when the car has been tuned on medium to high altitude. Lets say a ITB tuned car on 1000 meters above sea lev...

I've maped several FN2 with J35 TB here in Spain.
Have you made the ECU relearn? Are you throwing any code?

Hi seem.

I don't understand why you want an antilag-map in a NA car. What you want to obtain in a "no gear engaged" situation?
If you need assistance with your remap maybe i can help, i'm spanish too.

Re: Signal noise problem

White (system ground) must go to the same ground as the ECU, but you could put the heater ground (blue) straight to the battery negative. The +12V does not need to come from A25, so you could take this from the fuse box. Also check the transmission and valve cover ground straps, and clean the conta...

Signal noise problem

Hi there, I've encounter a problem with a customer car. Car was tuned using my PLX M300 TE wideband. I wired it this way: - Red 12v switched to pin A25 - Black Controller and heater grounds to ECU ground below thermostat housing - Grey WB signal to pin D14 Datalog showed signal was clear. Can be see...
