[request] K20A2 - Injen CAI, IMG, 2" exhaust, stock EM/cat

Looking for a starting point for this. I recently added the exhaust (stock one was rusted to hell) - I'm just hoping to get a base map for the cam angles and timing ;) and I'll optimize the fuel myself.

Thanks!

Does the K series ECU have an internal starter relay?

Info: I recently had my starter replaced, and since then it's been in and out of the shop that performed the replacement with intermittent starting issues. The first time, they didn't tighten down the bolt for the positive starter cable enough and it vibrated loose. The second time, the positive bat...

Re: RPM Index question

There are limits to what the ECU can hold. If you add something to the middle, it will "push" everything down, removing the bottom one. Whether or not KManager will still store the bottom row after it's been pushed off, I don't know. As far as increasing resolution around VTEC engagement, ...

Re: Using reverse with no VSS?

It won't be able to calculate what gear you're in properly, so things like boost by gear and gear compensation in fuel tables won't work - but you may be able to get the gear ratios set in Kpro to where this will function. Depends how much control we (as the tuner) have over the gear ratios, and how...

Re: How can I make a K-pro water resistant?

The problem with that is that if it isn't a perfect seal, once water gets in, it won't be able to really dry out. Unless you can keep all water out, you might be better off leaving it as-is. I might be wrong but it's something to think about. Now, my question would be - is cooling not going to be an...

Re: Reaching column 10 under WOT

I don't have a datalog atm (I'm not on my laptop, and tbh I don't think I've saved any recently) but I've seen MAP readings close to 1psi with my setup - stock motor, stock cams, stock IM, Hondata IMG, TB coolant bypass, Injen CAI, velocity stack covered with a fatter air filter and a small hole cut...

Plus, what Hondata said - it's likely that you might not get the precision you need to do a good cam angle tune.

Re: New Kmanager 1.5.1

There are a couple applications out there (RazDyno, written in Excel; and KDyno, written in VB6) that can read in a Kpro datalog and draw you a torque curve. It's possible to do a full cam angle tune using these, but there are a few caveats You need to find a very flat, preferably very secluded (so ...

The stock sensor outputs both a wideband signal (for datalogging/tuning, I'd imagine the stock purpose is so that the ECU can throw a code if it detects an extremely rich/lean condition) and a narrowband signal, which is what's used for closed loop operation.

I also would like to see wideband readings used for closed-loop operation if possible. Depending on how much wiggle room you have as far as EPROM size, writing an algorithm that utilizes wideband input could provide much more reliable and precise operation - a wideband can tell "how far" f...

Tune 20 and tune 30. It won't take much longer than tuning one or the other, then the ECU will average them for 25. This is desirable compared to simply setting both to the same value to tune 25 because the VTC system isn't perfect. It's hydraulic - jitter is inherent. If it jumps one way or the oth...

Use about half the spring pressure for the activation pressure. I am running a 7 psi spring. What would happen if I did 2 psi on the activation pressure? All that is, the bc will kick on @ 2 psi to increase boost, right? It won't further increase boost at that point, because the wastegate isn't ope...
