thanks, that's exactly what i was thinking, that if the primary o2 sensor couldn't keep up or respond correctly, that the car would run subpar. It was just that he had a dealer tell him that the o2 sensor was only needed for tuning and i couldn't understand out the primary o2 used during closed loop...

05 RSX S with Kpro

I have a customer that just got his ECU back today from hondata. He has a 02 RSX S ecu that was converted for an 05 RSX with the conversion harness. he mailed his ecu in and had the work down and the dealer he went to told him that he could run the ecu without the 02-04 o2 sensor, but just wouldn't ...

A few comments/questions

I believe the duty cycle calculator is incorrectly working. Noticed that when i imported my current map into the software the duty cycle dropped by 50%. 2. Is there a way to bring back the old fuel multiplier? I liked how we could see what the actually fuel multiplier was and adjust for changes in e...

RomEditor v4 = software that comes with s300? or the software that will come out in the fall for the s200 users? The s300 uses 'SManager' which is (surprise, surprise) very similar to the KManager software for the K Series. Datalog, edit, upload, graph etc from one application. SManager is a free d...

I just had a spare p72 socketed, so really not a big deal. after i have s300, some local s200 users want to be tuned, they don't have datalogging. What...

how does the WOT shift and launch work if there is no longer the plug in for the clutch switch? Do we have to go back to the original OEM button? What about TPS tuning for ITB people? When will the RomEditor v4 come out to allow the s200 people air temp correction and gear correction? How much will ...

Any screen shots? release date? Also would there be any other required software/hardware needed for the user to tune? the new system is just like the kpro system but for obd1 cars. all you need is a laptop and a usb port and that's it. no more chips to burn, no more nasa command center in the passe...

Hondata S300

Please tell me that there will be a upgrade available to use little people. also, if I get the new s300, will i be able to tune all the local s200 people and then backwards save the file and burn a chip for the less financial people that I tune here locally? Mainly wondering, if i have a group that ...

Tell the ECU it is VTEC ECU (even if it is not), set VTEC at a nominal rpm (e.g. 5000 rpm), disable the VTEC pressure switch. Use the low speed table to 5000 rpm, then use the high speed table. The only trick is to remember this while tuning. makes perfect sense, will the datalogging switch tables ...

Setting 3-step when datalogging isn't enabled?

One car i tuned recently had the 3-step option on his s200. on my car, i set the 3-step via hondalogger. Oh his blue box, since datalogging wasn't enabled we couldn't set the 3-step with hondalogger. So we did the button trick, one push then rev to launch rpm, etc etc. well I find this method to be ...

How to tune past 8k on a b18b?

I was tuning someone last weekend with a build NA b18b motor. he said that power would stay strong past 8k rpms and would die off by 9k. I didn't believe him, but said ok. Well we start to tune and sure enough the cams are very strong to 8k rpms, where they start to fade off. My question is, how do ...

Due to the style and powerband of the Vortech, why couldnt you use a turbo car map? The Vortech is a turbo on a stick, I dont see why it would be a problem. If it's an issue of getting the car to start, then your tuner should have supplied a basemap to get the car started and to them. If you are lo...

Vortec Basemap?

I was wondering if anyone had a vortec supercharger basemap out there that I might be able to grab. A guy in my area just got done installing one and I wanted to grab a basemap to go off of. I looked in the normal basemaps within hondata but there were not any for a vortec on a b16.
