When I send my P28 off to be socketed, can/will Hondata also convert it from manual to automatic? Also...in the installation manual I see that for OBD-1 ECU's, to convert from automatic to manual it says, "Between the ROM and the side of the ECU case are a number of jumper resistors labelled with RP...

The wideband o2 systems are really geared for tuning. Using them daily can endup costing you a lot to replace these sensors all the time. The narrow band sensors only work at a certain manifold vacuum and are there to help change the overall fuel trim ajdustment. So once you have tuned the fuel tab...

Many Questions

I am fairly new around here but I have been reading the board for a few days now. I am very interested in getting an s200, and will probably do so within a few months. I have a 5th generation civic with an LS motor [B18A1] and a P74 computer. Within a year I am going to go LS-VTEC with a B16 head. I...

Which wideband O2 sensors does everyone use? Is the MoteC superior to the FJO and if so how? I know there is a pretty lofty price difference between MoteC and FJO, and I don't want to be spending unnecessary cash just for a brand name.

Any idea what year JDM B16A it is?

PR3 comes from a 89-91 JDM B16A EF8/9

PW0 comes from a 89-91 JDM B16A EF8/9 DA6-XSi

You would socket your P28 ECU so that you could emulate or burn ROMs for improved fuel and ignition maps. You would need to do this in conjuncture with the S200.

Re: Code 45 ( to rich/ to lean) will Hondata fix that proble

Also, if i get Hondata will my car be 100% tuned? Hondata or any other system/component will not simply bolt on and tune your vehicle, but Hondata can be a valuable tool and make it easier to tune. As far as 100% tuned goes, I don't think that's achievable...day to day variances in temperature, bar...

Just an aside, on Hondata's ECU ID page, it says that both the JDM and USDM ITR computers show P73. Maybe there's no difference?

Yes, when putting an H22 in a civic you must use the stock shifter that comes with the H22. Sport Compact Car's September 2001 issue has a decent article on things you'll need for this swap, and they outline fairly well how to run the shifter cables and where to cut holes and mount the shifter.
