Re: 2012 TSX Fuel maps having no effect

Here's a visual. So a 10% change on the whole fuel map, at every single cam angle break point, only having an effect after 7k rpm is working as intended? WE get a 4% duty cycle and a .7ms IPW change at 7k and a 0% duty cycle with a .01ms IPW change at 6033 with a 10% fuel change? workingasintended.p...

Re: 2012 TSX Fuel maps having no effect

Please look at the logs and the maps I sent you again. I added 10% fuel *everywhere* in vtec, including before 7000 rpm, and the only region the fuel map has any response is after 7000 rpm (hence the going rich). The throttle pedal not being 100% -- who cares? TPLATE is 98* in one log and 101* in th...

2012 TSX Fuel maps having no effect

Until after 6800 rpm. I can keep increasing fuel on the high cam SD fuel tables on this vehicle and they have zero effect on IDC and the actual fueling -- until after 6800 rpm, then it will go pig rich. I'm sending you two logs & cals for reference, in the 2nd one I added 10% fuel to all of the high...

Re: Ethanol content sensor readings

I do feel the filtering can smooth it over a bit, and make the signal more consistent. Can we perhaps have access to the filtering of the signal? What would be cool is just to use the last flex content value after a certain MAP threshold is hit. One can assume the E content isn't changing in boost/...

It makes sense. That is nominal. I've run E98 in cars with the flex sensor and it would only spit out 94-95%, heh.

Re: Ethanol content sensor readings

Yes, Summit even carries a marked test tube to make it easy. Always get 85-88% or so. GM flex sensor is around 82% and drops a couple percent under throttle in my FRS and S2000

Re: Throttle plate closing @ high rpm

On my car the issue is with the TSX throttle body, I have tested both the TPS outputs -- they are in spec (per Honda's spec) and not any different from the stock TB. The J37 I cannot test as this is a remote customer's car, *however*, the J37 is commonly used on these cars (and the ZDX) as well as t...

Re: Ethanol content sensor readings

Fair enough. More or less, I am interested in knowing if the sensor should be grounded separately or directly to the board. The sensor's reading in K-Pro differs from the Kent Moore J44175 Fuel Composition Tester I have in-house. The fuel sample from the car tests at a rock-solid 135Hz output (85%)...

Re: Throttle plate closing @ high rpm

Can we get some attention to this problem? I have a customer's car with a K20/K24 build that we simply cannot rev over 8000 rpm as the ECU gives up controlling the TB -- the vehicle has a J37 TB, and the problem persists with the stock TB. Repeatable on *every* single pull. The TB control after 7400...

Re: Ethanol content sensor readings

Hey Derek, This kind of behavior isn't unusual, I see the same thing on both of our flex fuel cars (have a couple on different engine management systems), a couple percent is pretty normal. Even on my Infinity stand alone car I see a 2% or so variance and the sensor is being run directly by the ECU....

Finding a competent tuner will help you avoid another costly error.

Have you not read the KPro manual? It covers everything you're asking questions about: http://hondata.com/help/kmanager/boostc ... lation.htm

Re: After dyno tune I think that I'm too rich

That looks like one of the intake/exhaust basemaps and not only is it lean (as Spunkster has stated), none of the cam phasing, VTEC or ignition mapping has been optimized for the mods.

Yes, very easy. THis is how we do it on other platforms.
