Re: MAP Sensor resolution

Here is a screenshot showing the difference in MAP resolution between the S2000 and '13 Civic Si. The lack of resolution in the Civic really makes it hard to get a good tune. I basically have to datalog the car at various barometer readings to find "good enough" for fuel and timing, since it's alway...

Re: MAP Sensor resolution

It does this with a custom calibration.

MAP Sensor resolution

I noticed that the stock MAP sensor in my '13 Civic Si appears to be about 1/5th the resolution of the MAP sensor in my S2000, which uses the same MAP sensor. Instead of reading the MAP at an increment of about 2 mBar, it reads at an increment of 10 mBar. Is there anything that can be done to improv...

Re: DBW ITB Tuning

Nope... There is a bug for the Civic, but it was a biatch to figure out. I'll upload the calibration and datalog when I'm back online, but it is causing the closed loop target at high load to switch from whatever is in the WOT target adjustment table to 14.7 once it crosses a certain threshold. It t...

Re: DBW ITB Tuning

I think the issue is that the TPS WOT determinations aren't working. If I use the MAP to determine WOT, it works as expected.

Re: DBW ITB Tuning

Here's a screenshot of the low cam fuel map with suggested fuel corrections from the S2000. The MAP block that I developed is friggin' amazing.

Re: DBW ITB Tuning

Yeah, I'm aware that you don't support or recommend the FlashPro or MAP-based tuning for ITB's. However, the question about closed loop isn't necessarily ITB related. Even with the OEM intake manifold, it's a nice feature to be able to set closed loop AFR targets at high load / low RPM. Below is the...

DBW ITB Tuning

I have completed the install and tuning for a DBW ITB setup on my S2000 with a FlashPro, and am now doing the same for my '13 Civic Si. I was expecting the Civic to be easier, since the FlashPro for the Civic has more features. However, I'm running into some unexpected issues related to closed loop ...

Datalogging an S2000 with a Civic FlashPro

Since the Datalog button on my S2000 FlashPro quit working (worn out), I am using my Civic FlashPro to record datalogs. It works great, except there is some mysterious data in columns that the S2000 doesn't support. For example, the AFM, CAM, and CAMCMD columns normally contain 0's when I use the S2...

Re: Warmup Ignition Retard

What change, if any, might this table cause under normal running conditions? Would it have any impact on throttle tip-in at higher RPM and / or loads?

Where can I find more info about the new Throttle Angle vs. Flow feature for the S2000?

Re: VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Enabled

I figured the sensor was just an ON/OFF sort of thing, but I assumed that the threshold for the switch would be above the minimum pressure required to engage the VTEC locking pins. Basically, if it takes 40 PSI to lock the pins, then it seems that the VTEC oil pressure switch would only be ON when p...

Re: FlashPro Requests

I understand that a perfect / final tune would have fuel and ignition tables that differ from one cam angle to the next, but it would be great if it was easier to leave that part to the end of the tuning process. It would be really nice if the "All" tab for cam angles would truly LOCK the tables tog...

Re: VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Enabled

I realized today that my post might have come across as if I thought a FlashPro defect CAUSED my engine failure, so I want to clarify that I don't think that at all. I actually believe the root cause for my engine failure is that I've done literally THOUSANDS of these while developing this (patented...
