Re: Is this false knock?

Thanks for confirming! I'll keep pulling timing out over there. It's remarkable how much less timing there is there compared to stock. I think I've pulled 4 degrees out so far. I guess that's a good sign. The 70mm TP must be increasing VE there? And yes, that's how I look for knock. I zoom in wherev...

Is this false knock?

Attaching my map and logs for what I am suspecting is false knock. It mostly tends to happen around 1300RPM and 3000RPM at around 50kPa. I only use 93 octane (R+M)/2. Only mods are a 70mm TP. This forum collectively has seen many logs over the years and I have little experience with this particular ...

Re: FlashProManager v2.0.6

Where can I find more info about the new Throttle Angle vs. Flow feature for the S2000? It stemmed from this discussion. http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=18240 Useful for larger throttle bodies or a messed up one like mine, lol. I plan to update that thread soon with my finding...

Re: FlashProManager v2.0.4

Datalog saves from the FlashPro to my laptop are much faster with v2.0.4! Before it would run through the progress bar and then wait an equal amount of time seemingly doing nothing until the file actually gets saved. This 2nd phase has been greatly reduced.

Re: 2006 honda S2000 P2101 failure

Some cars let you reflash attached modules through the OBD2 port. Can this be done with the S2000? Can we bench flash the TACM maybe through JTAG or BDM or something? Any way to put the TACM into a relearn mode? I've read about one instance of someone who was struggling with a TB related code after ...

Re: 2006 honda S2000 P2101 failure

I can look for the angle difference error table and increase the values, but this doesn't fix the root cause. No, but this will let the user adjust the set screw on the throttle plate to bring the rest angle to what is actually needed without throwing codes for the voltage being too low or too high...

Re: 2006 honda S2000 P2101 failure

From what I've noticed on my car: It seems like the S2000 ECU has a transfer function that converts TPS1 and TPS2 volts to measured TP %. The stepper motor then drives the throttle body to hit an expected TP %. If it finds the volts measured don't correspond to the expected TP %, it throws a code. I...

Re: AF Corrected value seems off

So it's been 4 years. Has a larger sample size been analyzed? Can I rely on my stock sensor if using 'AF corrected' to tune? I installed a new OEM sensor a couple thousand miles ago.

Re: WARNING: Hondata Toda map audibly knocks at high load & low RPM

I don't have a Toda header. Do you think a Toda header requires 10 to 16 degrees more timing at low RPM high load compared to a Mugen header? A 'couple' degrees I can understand but not 10+ degrees. Compare the timing maps between the two. Above 2700 RPM the timing differences seem reasonable enough...

WARNING: Hondata Toda map audibly knocks at high load & low RPM

Because the knock ignition limits low & high are set to 100 !!! This results in running about 10 to 16 degrees MORE timing than stock at high load and low RPM. This is absolutely nuts. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-9OeJKSTn9GY/VH4sziyNFEI/AAAAAAAAD8A/DZYFXEOiyMA/s1024/s2000%2520stock%2520vs...

Re: retrieve calibration from ecu

What you are asking for (storing the calibration in the ECU) is not possible. LOL, the calibration is already stored in the ECU. It is the difference in hex compared to stock. If the calibration wasn't already in the ECU what makes the ECU behave according to a tuned file even with the FlashPro dis...

Re: Analog Input? How to datalog methanol injection engagement?

You could just switch to a manual boost controller and use your current boost control solenoid driver to run a MAP vs RPM ADI map. You would need support from Hondata to do so though, so good luck with that. lol
