Re: S2000 Kpro Low/High Boost
I'm am looking to add a switch for low/high boost as well, using the E16 pin. What I'm finding is the E16 pin is putting out 12V. is that normal? Grounding it has Kpro show that the EPS switch is on... so I'm hoping I'm good there. However, it's doing nothing for my Boost Control. I have my low boos...

Re: ECU main board component - what does it do?
Thanks for the response -- pointing it out as a capacitor was actually pretty helpful.
I'm going to just solder in a new one properly, and hope for the best.

Re: ECU main board component - what does it do?
Do you know if the ECU will power up if that capacitor isn't connected (or properly connected)?
Trying to determine a way to test if I soldered it enough for it to perform it's function.

ECU main board component - what does it do?
While adding a connector for the digital and analog headers, I accidentally snapped off a round component on the main board with polarity symbols. I did my best to solder it back into place, but in case it didn't work, what does that component do so I know what to expect if things don't work? I've a...

How does the VSS interact with the tune?
Just curious how the tune is adjusted based on signal from the VSS.
Does it adjust timing, fueling, spark, etc?

PS Pump Switch - E16
ECU: KPro V4 Before I go about reinventing the wheel (pun not intended), I have a Mini Cooper EHPS pump installed. It currently runs whenever the ignition is on. After fiddling with some wiring diagrams... I noticed that pin E16 is for the PS Pump switch... I'm not sure how the original system funct...

Re: Sputtering at speed, can't figure it out.
After a frustrating few weeks, finally got the engine to run right.
All because of a partially failing MAP sensor that never threw a code or any indication of it being the issue.
for those who come across this: try swapping the map sensor.

Re: Sputtering at speed, can't figure it out.
More followup,
I re-calibrated the TPS sensor. Sputtering goes away, but will come back after some time.
Ordered another TPS to see if that fixes it.
Fun.

Re: Sputtering at speed, can't figure it out.
For those who run into this issue in the future... while I haven't completely solved it, I have isolated it somewhat. I have an Acuity TPS, no IAVC. So, I have the throttle stop threaded out slightly so the car will idle. My TPS readings were 4% at fully closed. 98% at fully open. I readjusted the T...

Re: Sputtering at speed, can't figure it out.
If the ECU works ok in another vehicle then you have either a mechanical issue or a wiring issue. You will have to use process of elimination to determine where the issue resides. Is there a possibility of it being tuning related? Perhaps knock ? I'd imagine a wiring issue would have been evident r...

Re: ECU repair?
Thanks for the response. Since I'm stubborn and refuse to think the ECU is dead. I triple-checked my wiring -- found a loose pin for the MAP sensor. Got that fixed, engine fired right up. Downside, I bought $60 worth of sensors. Plus side, I have 3 replacement sensors in case they ever fail. Moral o...
