Re: S300 sample canbus data
Hondata is not open source, so I'm not sure you'll get what you're looking for.

Re: Analog inputs not working after firmware V2.8.4
I'm sure you guys are on it, but I'll also mention that I'm having this issue as well. S300V3, wired in a pressure sensor, sending to analog 1. I verified correct wiring and scaling, I am getting the correct voltage out of the sensor, but am not getting anything to show on the display or on the sens...

Re: D16 tps sensor issue??
Another thing to look at is the Skunk2 Pro IM puts the TPS very close to the firewall. If your mounts are worn out, the engine can torque back and the TPS can hit the firewall. This could damage the TPS or the plug. If the plug gets damaged, it may not latch well, the pins may not connect well, etc.

Thanks - I'll give that a shot and see if it works for me.

Re: Rev limit at Vtec
The valve cover ground is incorrect. It should go under the acorn nut that holds the valve cover down to the head. Where it is currently attached, it is not providing a ground path, as the valve cover is electrically insulated from the cylinder head.

Re: RPM AND TIMING DUDES EDM D15Z6
I wouldn't worry about it until it becomes an issue or until the noise gets very large. It's probably just noise in the signal.

Re: RPM AND TIMING DUDES EDM D15Z6
I zoomed in around the 2:00 minute mark - is that where you're talking about? The RPM graph isn't buttery smooth, but are you feeling this in the car or are you just concerned that it isn't a smooth line? What is the real issue you are having?

Re: RPM AND TIMING DUDES EDM D15Z6
Where in the datalog are you talking about having an RPM issue? It's almost 12 minutes long, and I couldn't quickly identify the area of your concern.
In my opinion, you need to put the car on a dyno to see the effects on horsepower output when you adjust timing. This is the only safe way.

Re: new to s300, first basemap runs fully lean
Are you still only looking at what it's doing at idle, or are you looking at other loads / RPMs? When you're making changes, are you in open loop or closed loop? When you make those fuel changes, what is happening to your long term and short term fuel trims? Try running in open loop. De-power the EC...

Re: Pressure sensors for datalogging
For the ones I'm using: One pin goes to ground One pin goes to a 5V source - you can tap into the 5V source for the TPS or any other 5V reference sensor One pin goes back to the S300 Analog Input of your choice Then all you have to do is set up the specific input on the Analog Inputs tab in SManager.

Re: Pressure sensors for datalogging
Yes, you can buy just sensors with no gauge and wire them to the analog inputs on the S300. I tried some cheap ones from Amazon (Autex brand) and they worked for a little bit, but ended up failing. I've since moved over to Lowdoller Motorsports sensors. They are affordable and seem well built and we...

Re: new to s300, first basemap runs fully lean
Before my most recent setup change I had my fan come on at 183F and not turn off until over 91 mph (basically always on if temp is over 183F). The car would cruise around 188F - 192F, so the thermostat was always open (it opens at 180F). I'm a D-series guy though, so not 100% sure if it translates t...

Re: new to s300, first basemap runs fully lean
A +/- 20 RPM fluctuation in idle seems pretty solid to me. Your idle stability may improve some over time as the ECU "learns" the engine. Anytime you remove power from the ECU (pulling the fuse, disconnecting the battery), it will lose what it has learned and have to re-learn. I recommend ...

Re: new to s300, first basemap runs fully lean
How far is your idle swinging up and down? How far is the AF fluctuating up and down? Also - make sure you aren't concerned with these things until the car is at operating temperature. If you end up with a bad idle oscillation, you can zoom in and look closely at the datalog graphs and see which out...
