Not with the system my EP3 isn’t going over 3,000 rpm’s so I purchased the hondata system hoping that could solve the issue

Have you datalogged using the K-Pro to see what errors you are getting?

I'm sorry, but what you are saying does not make sense.

Please describe in detail what the exact issue it is you are having and include all error codes reported when datalogging.

Re: 04 EP3 Jdm K24a K-Swap to An 03

Post by jdmalex313 »

I recently swapped my K24a too a older EP3 Model so keep in mind everything that made this engine turn on I used The Crank Sensor & the harness that came from the original 04 ep3 K20 engine, So Long Story short I swapped it the 03 EP3 & hook my Hondata & for some odd reason once the key turns over the steering wheel airbag deploys but the engine won’t even crank nor spark nothing all you can hear is the ECU making noises so called it a night I updated my ECU hoping it could be that haven’t hooked it up too the car yet. If theirs anything that I’m missing let me know checked my wiring & even replaced my Fuse box that my 04 had too see if that was the issue but nope still the same thing. I did everything similar too what I did to my 04 so why would it not turn on ? Help!

If the airbag deploys after turning on the ignition, then there is some major wiring problems in the vehicle. If relays are clicking when trying to start, then the battery voltage is too low.

Okay update on that. The issue I was having was my ground was bad so fixed that, good news is vehicle started, bad news is it won’t get into gear from the inside of the vehicle but it goes into gear with no problem doing it yourself under the hood, I have hunch that bleeding my clutch would solve this issue but what I don’t seem too understand is why is it very difficultly/hard too go into gear from the inside of the vehicle when pressing in the clutch. But under the hood gears go in the way they’re supposed too. What could be the problem ?

This will have nothing to do with the ECU or K-Pro. I would recommend that you have a shop familiar with these vehicle take a look at it.
