need tps variable for vtec or higher load variable

Post by scttydb411 »

have a car that spools up so quick under part throttle (25%-30%) that vtec engages and bogs no matter how much tuning afr with out messing up fuel under wot. vtec is set @ 4k and doesn't bog under wot, but @ part throttle bogs horribly. i have tried increasing load contition for high and low loads, but the highest kpro will allow is 102kpa. if i could set it to 120kpa it might help as well.

any way to get a tps variable like on s300 so i can set tps threshold to 50%-75% so it won't engage under light throttle conditions?

would rather not increase vtec since the car makes more than 50 more ftlbs of tq @ 4.4k rpm in vtec vs. locam.

No, there will probably not be any changes made to this.

You could save 2 maps, one for higher vtec for daily driving so it wont bog under part throttle and another map for lowere vtec with more tq.....

2 bad this isn't kpro b/c we got ways of vtec engaging in diff. rpms under different conditions..
