Between power and signal on the sensor. On the datasheet link you provided it has a diagram, and also the recommended resistor value.

How would I calculate the correct amount of pulses per km or mile ? I have a 1.5 3rd gear ratio and have a 05-06 type S.

I run 255/40/170

The resistor power rating does not matter.
As for the pulse setting, have a guess or use the default, compare the indicated speed with GPS and then make an adjustment based on the difference.
