Hello, I would like to ask for help for knock detection with new calibration of my Civic eg swapped K20A2
KPro v4
ECU Pra
KManager 4.3.2
I recently installed new drag cartel drop-in cams, 410 injectors and supertech double valve 80psi
So, my tuner has done new calibration.
I saw thousand of knocks on the return journey
Knocks happens in the 3000-3500 rpm range, when I accelerate slightly
Fuel 98 octane
I attach calibration and log (Note: set the knock count range to 1340-1400)
Can you help me
Thank you

Re: knock problem at low rpm
You should discuss this with your tuner as it sounds like it has not been properly tuned if it has that many knocks.
Re: knock problem at low rpm
Thank you for reply, could you kindly have a look at the calibration, to know where you think is the problem?
Even just an indication would be helpful
Thank you
Don

Re: knock problem at low rpm
Thank you, if you can help me by taking a look at the map.
I would understand if I have to act simply by software or, by the log, it can also seems hardware.
I also have another questions:
1) Is it normal that double springs supertech 80psi and drop-in cams increase the knock level? from 1.80 to 2.15?
2) How does ECU calculate the Knock Control?
Thank you

Re: knock problem at low rpm
Some news for question 2?
Re: knock problem at low rpm
You may want to read more about this in the help file: http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/kn ... ck+control
Re: knock problem at low rpm
thank you, sure I read this.
I've read that k.control is depending from the noise detected from the sensor.
So, noisy cams and spring valves can incrase k.control?
Anoher question. Which is the sense of positive value in the Knock Ignition Limit Tables?
This positive value are never considered.
Only negative, right?
I referred to this note in the help document: "Note that the ECU will only retard timing if the (dynamic) knock ignition limit is less than the (MBT) ignition value. "
