Two major changes:
- Ignition & Fuel correction based on gear.
- Simple boost control also based on gear.
Minor changes:
- Fixed nitrous control for the PNF
- Fuel overrun cutoff tables for the PRB

Note that the datalogging has changed (the current gear and boost controller duty cycle have been added). Because of this you cannot datalog a 1.2.0.7 calibration with an earlier version, and cannot datalog an earlier calibration with 1.2.0.7.

Edit: 1.2.0.6 -> 1.2.0.7 fixed a problem with gear based ignition correction at light throttle.

Boost Control

In a nutshell, the ECU uses the PCS duty controlled output to run a solenoid which controls pressure to the wastegate. In this way the ECU can raise boost above the wastegate spring pressure. This is 'simple' boost control because there is currently no PID control feedback to correct the boost for different ambient conditions. However, it should work well enough for most people as it is. The help file has a lot more information.

The boost control solenoid is about $30 with wiring, so this represents good bang for the buck over buying a boost controller.

These dyno graphs show the difference in boost levels from running the boost control valve at 0%, 32%, 45%, 50%, 55% and 60% duty cycle for my turbo K20A.

The boost pressure drops at high rpm because of the exhaust backpressure - I'm running a full exhaust and cat. Re-plumbing the pressure line to the boost controller/wastegate makes a big difference. BTW this was on our wonderful 91 heptane california fuel.

The car was then set up to run 6, 10, 13, 15, 15, 15 lbs boost in each gear. The idea is that you tweak the settings until you are borderline wheel spin in each gear. This works fairly well, and makes the car a little easier to drive as it is not wild wheelspin in the lower gears.

is there any way to make this work with an existing boost controller?

It would make more sense to sell the existing boost controller as a unit and buy a new solenoid, given that cost of the solenoid (~$30)

I meant to address the differences in ambient conditions that affect boost ;).

Absolutely awesome!!! The turbo people will be delirious, and with the gear-based fuel and ignition compensation there's something for the rest of us.

Now if I only had ECU control over my supercharger bypass valve and a way to address traction control via cam angle manipulation in the nitrous panel.

I imagine it's just some standard part you can grab from an auto parts store ;). So what one did you guys use hondata?

Read the help file; the part numbers are in there. A quick search on the internet will find so GM suppliers who sell the solenoid.

you're joking right? you're asking if the boost control works on NA?

THat is NOT what I'm asking. I was wondering if the fuel and ignition correction would work on NA as of right now. I know Hondata planned on including this in KPRO so am wondering if this is it or if its something else for NA cars. I guess I should have been more specific.

My BAAAAD.
