K20A CALIBRATION HELP

Post by stevlover »

Ok so here is my dillemma I have a 2003 civic SI 2.0 liter that originally came with a K20A3 motor installed. the motor had over 300K miles on it so I swapped in a JDM K20A, I used the original K20A3 harness, intake throttle body and all plugged in nicely I had KPRO installed on the original PNF ECU.
This is where the problem occurs, when I upload the basemap for the factory K20A3 calibration the car starts runs but idles really high. the check engine light flashes but i am unable to communicate through the OBD port to check error codes. KPRO shows me no error codes. If I upload RSX factory calibration it does the same thing. I wrote to Hondata and they sent me a basemap but once uploaded the car starts runs for a few seconds then dies. any other basemap I try to upload does not work car just starts runs for a few seconds and then dies. I have checked fuel pressure, spark, all fuses, immobilizer and all seem to be ok. I need any help I can get Its been almost a year since this car has been sitting

It datalogs, so the KPro is working ok. Try the ECU in a known good vehicle. I suspect that an ECU injector output is stuck on or an injector itself is stuck open.

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

Download the latest version of software form the software section of the website(4.2.6).

With everything plugged in and the key in the on position, go to the online menu, tools, and erase ECU. When that finishes, close the program, reopen it, go to new calibration, load the calibration you want to use and the upload to the ECU and see if that resolves the issue.

You need to try this ECU in a known working vehicle that is already using a K-Pro and make sure that their calibration is uploaded to the ECU and see if it runs as it should.
