So let me start by syaing its a k24 frank with k24a2 block and z3 head swappedinto a 2005 em2
i initially had idling issues and found out the chain was strectched but since then i installed a brand new chanin and tensioner.
now when i start the car it wont idle unless i keep my foot on the throttle, im getting no sensors at all, and no CEL since i disabled the primary o2. i got a quick 5 mins datalog please someone check it out and let me know what i could change, or why the car wont idle correctly.

also towards the end i got a over heating code, i have a stock rsx rad, with fans going for some reason i dont think its cooling properly.

thanks in advance heres the datalog..

The main problem is that your MAP sensor is not working.

Additional things to look at is the o2 sensor operation, VTC (oil pressure, debris?) and TPS.

It looks like you did overheat the engine (250F)

Thank you for the quick reply, I will get a new map sensor and I think I found the problem with over heating.. there was no overflow tank on my radiator. I will give and update once I replace the map sensor, and do another datalog. Thanks again

so i swapped out the MAP sensor i had and got the car started and idling, but i tried to do a another 5 min datalog but failed.. the car bogs down jus before 3k rpm.. i managed to have to datalog i will post it along with my kal could you plz look and let me know what i could change?

btw im not runnign an 02 sensor i have a stock k24a4 header welded to a flexpipe to the stock em2 piping and muffler (so a straight pipe)

how do i check oil pressure, i dont see any errors or codes in kpro so idunno.. heres the datalog and cal

thanks again.

Since you do not have a wideband there are too many unknowns. Have you talked to your tuner about this or about getting a basemap?

There is no way to see oil pressure in the K-Pro software. You will need some other oil pressure gauge for that.

The MAP sensor is still not working. It could be wiring or the ECU.

thanks again for the replies i will be getting a wideband this week, and i dont have a tuner i didnt think i would need a tune since its a pretty stock set up, i thought i could load a basemap from kpro and be running.. im really only trying to get the car running just for a daily. K24A2/Z3 head RBC CUSTOM short ram, stock header and exhaust, fuel rail, injectors k20A3 TB and harnes and 5 spd tranny. about the oil pressure ill look into that after getting the wideband installed.

really? i changed it with another stock one and the car has been idling now and thats the only thing ive changed.. and the idle valve slider in kpro
but when i try to move the car as soon im moving and try to stop again the revvs dip down pass 850 and i feel in stalling. now if i keep the revs up enough to do a pull, around 3k or so it wil cut as u can see from the datalog and shorlty after the car shut in second gear. see i know i need a wideband for a better afr but i thought i would at least be able to have the car running even if its a bit rich. i guess i will have to wait and see when i get the wideband. ill take a look at the wiring also i dont think its the ecu bcuz ive triggered codes from trying to trouble shoot this problem..

thaks again hondata

so I jus thought I would post an update since the car runs now, I cleaned the IACV like hondata suggested and I changed the idle valve duty cycle slider in kpro (slid it to the right) reloaded my map and the car idles perfectly now, it doesn't bog down or anything even at higher rpms like before.
I also found out that my throttlebody was getting stuck in an open position, I have an A3 TB with ktuned adapter on RBC IM, and I had to do some cutting for it to spin freely and not get caught on the adpapter when I initially installed it. now I realized at WOT it will get stuck at times.. my TPS reading would be like 40% when its closed and and if im not currently the display screen on kpro I wouldn't see it before trying to start again. my only issue now is that the car still overheats after about 10 mins of driving at running temp. ive searched and found that k24s have heating inssues from air pockets in the coolant so I will try and bleed it today and do another datalog, the fans come on and the upper hose gets hot and lower hose is nice and cool so I know the coolant is circulating. if that doesn't work do you guys have any other suggestions? I know theres always the radiator and thermo..
