Odd basemap

Post by Marsxas »

I have a 05 RSX Type S, but had to use the PND base model ECU for my K-pro. I have AEM V2 intake, Skunk 2 fuel rail, Megan racing header, and yonoka exhaust. I have no idea where I should even start with a basemap, but the one I have right now seems to be completely wrong. VTEC doesn't engage, it's sluggish from a stop, cold starts it revs up by itself a couple times before it finally settled to where it should be, and it wants to miss randomly while driving at a cruising speed. Anyone have a basemap for me, or ideas on where to start on it, until I can get to the professional tuner next month?

I would recommend starting with the stock RSX Type s calibration. Monitor the air fuel ratios and correct as needed.

I'm on the RSX Type S, cold air intake, Dyno tune calibration that came on the K-pro. Would that be close enough?

Or should I change it to a 02-04 tune instead of the 05 k20z one?

I always start with the stock base tune. If there is an 05 stock tune I would use that as well. All base maps will need adjustment.
