JRSC + 7psi + 550's; What cal?

Post by knwldge54 » Sat Jan 13, 2007 2:43 pm

I ordered my JRSC yesterday and will be starting off with the 7psi pulley, DCRH and Injen CAI. I've already downloaded the K-Manager software but there is nothing for that setup.

The closest ones are:

K20A2 Supercharged 5-7 Psi
K20A2 Supercharged 9 Psi

The current JRSC kit I'm getting comes with 550cc Injectors. I plan on getting it professionally dyno tuned to begin with but I don't even know where to start off at. Can anyone give me some insight into the matter.

Based on the fact that you have 550s you should try the 9psi calibration and start from there.

^Thanks. That seems the be the only repsonse I'm getting
Do you know how long it's safe to run on that base map before getting it professionally dyno tuned. I've got a 4 1/2 hour drive to Houston.

Just took one out. Both the box and the one injectors I unwrapped are stamped SL4-550.

JRSC 9 PSI

Post by crackerjack » Mon Jan 29, 2007 9:02 am

I have the same setup as the thread starter. DCRH, JRSC.

I am using the cal JRSCH 5-9 PSI Kal. I notice that it runs great in NA mode but when you go into boost, it is extremely rich.

I would start with adjusting fuel from column 11 to 13 first and bring AF ratio down to around 11.7 to 12.3. I noticed that depend on air temperature, the AF ratio will varies between that amount and don't forget to use Conrads air temperature chart.

Are you using the 5-7psi kal or the 9psi kal?
I'm going down to Houston to get a St00pid tune next month.
I'm jsut concerned about going lean on the drive down.
