Air fuel runs away at idle?

Post by hiperformance »

Just sitting idling smooth at 14:1, the air fuel stays for a bit, then goes to lean, with out touching anything. what would cause that?

is there an exhaust leak around the sensor or is the sensor close to the end of a downpipe?

the idle can be tuned perfect, then after a minute of idling, the air fuel runs away and it needs to be returned, changes are made to the fuel table, considerable changes, idles nice then after a minute, the air fuel runs away again. starts idling rough then dies.

the wideband is not hooked in the datalog. I realize the question is why the air fuel runs away at idle. they did not have their own so the air fuel was monitored using the dyno wide band.

the data log shows, cranking, start, idle for a short period then dies. on cranking the map sensor reads 400+"/psi and idles for a second in the 100's then dies and back up to the 400's? changed map sensor and does the same thing.

thoughts?

Why is your TPS never below 7%? Have you tried recalibrating the TPS?
