Hello,
I've bought this Multimeter and would like to connect it to my S300 Input.

or this one is better:

Could you help me please?
Analog Input for EGT
Re: Analog Input for EGT
you have to get a resitor which has the resistance of 250 Ohms and 1% accuracy.
this resistor you have to put between terminals 3 and 10.
from terminal 3 you go to the ECU. depending on the S300 version you can use the analoge input (V2) or for version1 you can use D10 for example to datalog the occuring 0-5V signal. for V1 just check the help of the S300. it is explained pretty detailed how to do it.
best regards Lukas

OK thank you very much.
Which value do I need to put please?
OV - 0
5V 5000?

this depends on your sensor ;)Steeve_Civic wrote:OK thank you very much.

this whole thermo-couple thing isn't as easy as is seems. you need a lot of information, that it'll work properly and show the exact numbers.
then it depends of you want to use fahrenheit or °celsius (thank god for the metric system)
with this information you can install and setup the whole thing the right way, that it will work properly.

Re: Analog Input for EGT
correct!
But I bought a 3mm thermocouple K type like this one and don't know where to find these specs

Re: Analog Input for EGT
it's just in the instruction manual in table1 on the right side of the first page.
first you have to setup your device to µ. this is Type K thermo couple -200-1300°C.
on the bottom of page 2 it says, that the analog output gives 1-5V, where also 0-5V is obtained.
so, my solution would be:
1V = -200°C= -328°F
5V = 1300°C= 2372°F
this are the values you have to enter into SManager in my opinion and this is how I understand this piece of crap (which can't be called a good instruction manual)

Lol, again thank you.
I will try and let you know.
Is there other good EGT gauges with simple user manual?

Re: Analog Input for EGT
of course there are.
PLX devices has something which just gives you 0-5V
or
Innovate MXL. new stuff, shall work just fine.
there are some alternative possibilities.
