F20b in an e.g. hatch

Post by hondamatt29 »

So I swapped an f20b into my 92 hatch and it runs fine but I'm just wondering how to get the cel to turn off. I'm running a chipped p28 so it can't run the knock sensor and I even disabled it in the settings mg but it is still throwing ks23 cel code. How do I get the cel to turn off? TIA

If you have knock disabled in the calibration and upload it to the ECU then it should not give that error. Are you sure you actually uploaded to the ECU?

The box saying disable knock sensor was checked when I uploaded my basemap.

I tried reuploading my basemap with it checked and unchecked and cleared dcts and both ways it pops right back up immediately. Any suggestions?

Completely close the program, then re-open it, then open your calibration and re-upload it to the ECU.

Post the calibration you are using.

Please also tell me exactly what you are clicking on when you are opening, changing and uploading your calibration.

this is the only f20b basemap i could find on this site. if someone knows where i could buy a knock sensor board for fairly cheep i would not be opposed to just using the knock sensor.

I did post my calibration and when uploading I delete the old calibration off of the ecu . Then I open an existing calibration, the (f20b) basemap I posted prior.then I open the s300 window and click upload.

i was told that my ecu couldn't even throw that code because it doesn't have a knock sensor board.
is it possible that this could also be adversely affecting my timing?
