well im in to the 3rd ecu now .. a chiped p28 ... removed the ic chip and the ic mount .. installed the male pins for the hondata in to the 24 pin slot (27256 - ic4) and the 4 pins (icn2) into the chiped ecu and removed j12

it already had the jumper at j1, resistor at r54 and 74373 ic at ic4

Image

put the hondata in and still no green light at d2

Image

so i pull the hondata out and reinstall the chip back into the ecu by conecting 2 ic mounts together and reconecting j12 the ecu acts normal

pull the chip out and put the hondata back in and 1 green light :(

also traced all conections from the top side of the hondata to all conections on the ic4 (373) and the 66k ic and all where fine ( thanks for the pin out )

also i know its not a bad solder joint as the chip works fine

Out of curiosity have you tried this ECU/s300 in a different vehicle?

It is very strange that this only happens after the fans come on and it gets up to temperature.

yes i tried it in a bone stock 95 integra b18b and my own 95 integra with an h22 swaped and chiped ecu

its not happing when the fan comes on ... that is when the 2nd one stoped working .. now with the 3rd ecu dosent light up d2 at all

but works fine with the chip installed .. infact i drove it into the shop

now you said when you dont get a light at d2 its a conector (solder) problem ... but its fine with the burnt chip so wtf ?

im at a month now with no car to give to the customer .. down 3 ecu's ....

so what do i do now ?
