datalogging, wichone hook up to serial and to keyspan?

my laptop has a serial port on it and I am using a keyspan serial to usb converter. when datalogging wichone should I hook up to the usb and wich one to the serial port. datalogging cable, emulator cable?

It doesn't matter as you can change this in the software (which port to use). I use datalogging for serial personally.

I have tried many things and can't get the romeditor to upload a rom file to the romulator. Everything was working fine until I had to reinstall my OS (XP)
