Sugestion D16Z6 with 440cc and TD04H-15G Turbo

Post by leandro_wez »

I 'm planning to boost my D16Z6 with 8psi.

I've opened the Hondata's base map "D16 Supercharged 440cc 12ohm injectors" and I see it is tuned to work with 12psi of boost.

Can I use this map as my base map, or there's some difference between a turbocharger map and a supercharger map?
race it, break it, fix it and repeat.

A supercharger map will not work well with a turbo setup. They have vastly different characteristics.

But can I start with the supercharger's map timing?

The big problem for me is the timing...

Some users say to retard 1.25 degree by psi...
race it, break it, fix it and repeat.

No it is not recomended. Just start with an NA calibration, and you can then set up boost tables from the Edit menu.

I just got my stock d16z6 tuned.

Setup is:

z6 w/ 230k miles
log mani, 2.5" turbo back
garrett 50 trim turbo
tuner toys 550cc injectors
Tail WG with .6bar spring (8psi or so)

Dyno tuned at 197whp 171tq.

I can email you the calibration, but you should still tweak with it for your injectors and turbo trim etc...

Can you send me your map Jose?

I'll get some ideas, and use it as my base map!

Lndrx@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Hi José! Im terrible sorry to bother you, but im new at this, and i live in Buenos Aires, Argentina... I cant get a decent tuner over here... A friend of mine has exactly the same setup as you, exept that he has rc550's... Would you be so kind to email me too that calibration? I may use it a a base map to get the car running until we dynotune it whenever i find a good one! Thanks a lot! And sorry if im bothering here... hjdanzi@estudiopenaldanzi.com.ar

Sure not a problem!
That is what this section of the boards is for right? Share calibrations :)

I'm sending it right now.

I think my setup is like the most common/basic setup for D-series guys. But yet there is only a d16 SC default cal in smanager :(
