Knock sensor issue

Post by Monnoracing »

Ive been tuning many cars now and I have this TSX that is giving me the business. It is seeing lots of knock in #3 and #1 cylinder along with a little bit in #2. Ive only tuned a handful of cars on Flashpro and the rest on the other systems. This car was a auto to manual swap and it is still on the auto ecu. Its a k24/k20 head with some tuner 1 cams rbc all the bolt ons. Just cant get this setup to quit pulling timing from knock. My customer is over a hour away so I have not got to mess with it to much. Only testing ive got to do is set vtc to 0 to see if that changed it and nothing. Here is the tune file and the datalog with a small wot pull.

Since this has been converted from auto, have you checked to make sure that nothing is loose and rattling which is giving false knock?

I informed the person to go through the car for anything loose.

The cams might be loud which makes the knock sensor think there is knock
