Hey Hondata
Here is the problem.
The other day I switched my OEM k20z3 throttle body for a 06-08 TSX TB.
After bolting it up, the car will not idle properly.
My idle is a tad high (900-950RPM). My cruise idle is VERY erratic jumps up and down from 1000RPM-1500RPM, and I have increased revhang (caused by DBW).
my Flashpro had eliminated all my revhang on my stock TB, but it came back with the addition of the TSX TB.
a datalog of this erratic cruise idle can be found here at 5:45. If you notice the injectors are cutting in and out.

Any input is greatly appreciated.
Mods are in signature.
I have already tried:
- Letting the car idle for 25 mins
- Adjusting the idle screw
- reflashing my ecu and letting it idle
Erratic Idle/Cruise Idle/Rev hang after installing a TSX TB.
I have solved the problem, and it was not a result of FP. I heard of people having idle issues with FP which is why I posted here, I wanted to know what they did to fix it.Spunkster wrote:You need to try putting the stock throttle body back on and see if the problem goes away. If it does then you know it is either a problem with the throttle body itself, or with teh installation. This does not sound like a FlashPro issue.

tsx tb
I swapped out the stock tb with the 06 tsx tb and it does idle a little higher at first, then when driving, slight rev hang comes back but still ok. when cruising then shifting into neutral, then engine dips down to 500 rpm, then jumps to 1500 rpm, then repeats.
I have i/h/e with stage 2 skunk2 cams and the 06 tsx tb with the flashpro skunk2 stage 2 cams calibrations map.
Somehow though, after just 2-3 days of driving, all these issues went away. The ECU seems to need just a couple of days to learn the new DBW throttle body for idling.
just what i've observed, this type of mod is sorta like adding a brand new intake to the engine, it takes a couple of days to adjust!

Re: Erratic Idle/Cruise Idle/Rev hang after installing a TSX TB.
Hi to all
I have Civic Si 2007 k20z3 with TSX TB, RDX Injectors, CAI INJEN long, ITR DC5 Cams, Hpndata FP, 4-2-1 SKUNK2 MEGAPOWER HEADER,
GREDDY SPECTRUM ELITE.
I have the similar problem. watch my video (revs are jumping about 1 minute) and some time while riding with cold engine (about 30 sec)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpaatMXIebw
this fact is on the cold engine. When the engine is warm or hot - revs are not jumping.
I had such iddle parameters in my Calibration:
https://pp.vk.me/c627217/v627217555/2db ... lVGTyU.jpg
here is the datalog http://www.ex.ua/628300312550 (key is 628300312550 if required)
then I changed iddle parameters to next:
https://pp.vk.me/c627217/v627217555/2db ... ov9IiA.jpg
after that revs jumped about 5 seconds while the engine is cold and some time while riding with cold engine (about 20 sec)
i have some questions:
- what iddle parameters must be? can it be like this for my setup? https://pp.vk.me/c627217/v627217555/2db ... 1RLs-o.jpg
because the last owner of my car had the similar iddle parameters and he had no rev jumps in cold engine.
- can it be the problem with TSX TB adaptation after swap? I wanted to calibrate TB with HIM HDS but i cannot find the charter in HDS menu which responds for the TB calibration (ETCS (ТАС) CHECK). Can the Flashpro affect the availability of charters in the HDS menu?

See http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=18527
It is likely that the TSX throttle body is drawing more current than the ECU can provide. Also consider that the failure rate for throttle bodies is high, and unless the TSX throttle body is new it may be faulty.

i put the stock TB, checked the vacuum leaks but still have revs on cold engine
can it be the problem in calibration?
