No Tune Without Wide band?

Post by Cory.diy »

I have a 2010 civic si with a hks dry filter and q300 catback on 92 octane. I recently picked up a flashpro and tried the "base tuned map"
I picked up over 40 knocks driving around the block.

So immediately I reached out to a few different tuners looking for an etune. No one will tune with me without a wide band installed. With photo bucket ending third party hosting; all the forums died with the wiring diagrams for the wide band install which pretty much stops me dead in my tracks from going that route. Does any one have any recommendations on a way to get tuned without breaking the bank?

Thanks

The 2010 Civic SI has a wideband from the factory. Why not just use that?

Thats what Im asking. Ive been told by multiple tuners I need an aftermarket wideband installed before they will tune it.
(No other car have I had to do this)

I called speed factory before ordering the e-tune and was told the same thing.

Hondatas website has a manual on how to install a wide band for an 8th gen civic si.

So I will start there.
