Unlocking FP

Post by goofy »

Hi, I'm selling my JDM FD2R and went ahead to unlock the FP and return the ECU to stock. Everything went fine, no error encountered.

however, after it was done, i notice the vin is still unlocked.

so, i shut down everything (the computer, ignition) and restart the computer, and go thru the unlocking process again. everything went fine, and this time, the vin is unlocked, but now, the car cannot be started.

Guidance/Help pls, thanks!

The FlashPro unlock process does not change the ECU, so if there was a problem is was during the return to stock process.

What you should do is re-lock the FlashPro to your ECU, then perform the 'return to stock' process again, and then check that the vehicle starts and runs normally, then unlock the FlashPro.

Thanks, tried as suggested, car can be started, and FP appears unlocked.

By looking at the screenshot below, Can you pls help to confirm if the FP is now unlocked and can be sold/used on another FD2R? Thanks a bunch!

It says:

License: Vin unlocked so should be ok.

What you see is "i" which means the ECU is currently connected to the FP.
