Several check engine lights on the dashboard after a reflash

Post by tu5j4 »

Steering, ABS, brake check engine lights on my dashboard. The car starts but since powersteering isn`t working I can`t drive my FN2.
I checked the battery voltage and it shows 12.49 volt after I had it on a voltage charger some time. That`s enough right?
Can you give me some tips how to solve this? Need the car urgently.

Have you tried uploading a different calibration or returning to stock?

No, haven`t done yet.
I can try reflashing a different calibration. See how that works.

Tried a different calibration but still no result.
The ABS, Steering, Engine check lights still appear.
Is there another trick to solve this?

To provide you with more info I make my own map calibrations. I have removed the MAF tube and put a separate IAF sensor in my intake.
I also drive with a raceheader. 2nd lambdasensor removed.

First, tell us what ECU and calibration you are using.

Next put it back to stock. If you still get errors follow the factory manual troubleshooting guide.

I have a 2008 FN2 and my ecu has the following numbers:
37820-RSP-E11
7615-167839

Flashpronumber:
FP-SI-INT-20536

I tried a stock map with some adjustments because my car ist outfitted with a raceheader. I switched off the 2nd lambdasensor in flashpro.
It didn`t help. Still lots of check engine lights.

I think the troubles started because my battery voltage was initally below 12 volt when I reflashed the map calibration.
The ecu then thinks there`s not enough voltage for the electrical power steering, brakes, VSA, etc.
How can I correct this?
Or can a honda dealer correct this with a special program tool? Can they connect it on the OBD2 and manually switch off the check engine lights?

I think you have to return to stock. Not put a "stock map".

You mean I have to install the stock exhaust manifold back on the car Nuno?
And also the stock intake?
Can`t imagine how that can influence the powersteering, ABS, Brake, check lights.
The engine works fine when I start it. I just want to get rid of all the check lights on the dasboard.
Does the Honda dealer perhaps have a computer analyser that can remove the fault codes via the OBD2 switch?
Or can I do the same with flashpro?

paul, no, what I am saying is go to "online" menu and "return ecu to stock".
Not uploading the RSP "stock equivalent" calibration. From what i read from your previous posts you uploaded the stock equivalent with some changes.

Ah, now I understand.
After that I can connect my PC and flashpro to the OBD2 switch and delete all the DTC errors?
I guess this means I have to reinstall my MAF calibration intake aswell together with the secondary lambdasensor before I reflash "ecu to stock" right?
Sorry I have to ask this as this is the first time I have a major electronic problem with my FN2. Never experienced this before.

very good questions but i don't know the answers! probably hondata should help on this.
but I think if you try this with those mods (without AFM sensor for example) the car will not start or will start with engine error.

I think you`re right because a stock map calibration for a completely stock car means the maf sensor and both lambdasensors are installed and everything is switched on and working I guess.

On the other hand I have an extender tube for the 2nd lambdasensor. It came stock with my AAS raceheader so I think I can just install it and then start the car.
Before I had flashpro I drove around with this setup for years without problems.

Wished some of the Hondata pro`s could jump in to give me some instructions of how to get rid of the check engine lights on my dashboard precisely.
Can`t find anything of it in the flashpro help menu.

Try returning the ECU to stock. IF that means you have to put the AFM back in then you will need to do that. That is the only way to test this.

Hi Nuno. Well I did according to all instructions but it didn`t work out.
The engine is running fine on the "factory map" but the fault codes on the dashboard don`t want to disappear. I still can`t drive the car.
I might be doing something wrong.
What buggers me is that I can`t remove the fault codes with flashpro. The DTC line and letters doesn`t light up on my PC so I can`t switch off the fault codes. Or is it meant for something else?
