Group N map vtec point

Post by t222ndy »

Recently bought a flashpro and put the group N map on my fn2, It has an intake only. I feel 3800 is a bit low for vtec for when im on the motorway. Im wondering what else i have to change if i was to raise the vtec point to 4600?

You may have to change the fueling and or the ignition timing.

You can't just change a number for vtec crossover, you need to change cam angle map too so you prepare cam angle between low and high cam. Maybe that cam angle setup will not be optimum (power wise) for your car, and you should check if there are no knocks after that.

If you open your calibration and find the VTEC tab, you will see window pressure settings .

Try 2000rpm 1.0 bar
3000 0.98 bar
4500 0.9 bar
6000 0.9 bar
7200 0.9 bar,

It basically means you have to push the pedal harder to engage the high cam, no other changes need to be made as you aren't changing the point of engagement just the parameter

save, exit and flash

If you find your MAP pressure is too low to engage these pressures ( crap intakes and clogged filters reduce MAP pressures) lower them slightly and again save, exit and flash
