Supercharged - vtec window pressure

Post by Bones126 »

Can anyone offer advice on the best Vtec window pressure for running a Rotrex Supercharger please or let me know what yours is set up?
I'm not too bothered about the economy side of things, just a good smooth kick in pressure.

Thanks

Evans Performance Academy has vtec at 3800rpm with the pressure at 1.100 for 3800 and below. At 4000 rpm it's at 1.050, 6000 rpm at .900, and 7200 rpm at .300. This are values for an 8th gen SI, but should give you a an idea of where to be at and adjust accordingly.

3400 - 1.100
3800 - 1.100 (Vtec engagement per example)
4000 - 1.050
6000 - .900
7200 - .300

Thank you, should be the same for the Euro I would have thought.

Very similar yes. This should give you a good start anyways. Then see how it works out.

Supercharged versions:
in higher rpm you have more boost - so set a higher switch point. Otherwise you will have jerks if the highcam switch back to lowcam caused by super low map switch points...

For example:
2k rpm = 1.1bar MAP
3k rpm = 1.1bar MAP
5k rpm = 1.3bar MAP
8k rpm = 1.4bar MAP
