Startup questions pertaining extended warm/hot cranking.

Post by soxfan143 »

Hello Hondata. I would like to know what tables are controlling fuel directly after startup before it switches to closed loop. I'm having hot start long cranking issues and I can figure it out. It fires right up when cold but my wideband pins at 10 AFR flat until it goes to closed loop. Is that the cranking tables that I would adjust to get the open loop startup AFR more reasonable. Also, I would think that I need to get that AFR a little leaner before I start adjusting the ECT cranking fuel table. Correct? Thanks in advance. If you need a few logs and the cal I will post them.

I actually found the info I was looking for in the help files. Sorry Guys. I'm still hazy on a few things though. It says something about short start trims. Is that a typo? Should it say that it uses the last short term fuel trim or start trim?

I'm not sure what you mean by short start.

Where in the Help file are you referring to this?

right after where it refers to note 4 in the second paragraph. It says closed loop start term fuel trim.
