Speed Adjustment (ECU)

Post by leftme »

In the help file, it lists an "ECU" and "Dash" setting for Speed adjustment under the Sensors. For my S2000 it doesn't list the Dash setting, my speedo is off by 4%. Will changing the "ECU" setting change my speedo as well?

No, the s2000 dash gets it's signal from the speed sensor rather than the ecu and therefore cannot be changed.

Aside from accuracy in the datalogs, is there any benefit to calibrating the speed that the ECU sees? Does the ECU use speed for anything?

Gear calculation and that will effect all compensations that have to do with gear.

The S2000 doesn't have any gear compensations, does it?

I'm sure it does, you just don't have access to them.
