Re: 09 RDX base maps
I thought so, and that's what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Re: 09 RDX base maps
As far as knock goes, is 6 in 20-30 min bad in 90*+ ambient temps? And how do I tell if it's actual knock, or not from datalog? I attached, but if it's too much to review I understand. I appreciate all the help I can get! ;-)
Re: 09 RDX base maps
I wouldn't worry about that few of a knock count in a drive that long.

Re: 09 RDX base maps
Another question: as far as cyl in trim, I read that w\forced induction, advancing even a little too far can have quick and bad results. What do you think would be the safest I can advance to w\o having a catastrophic event? But advancing as far as safely possible is desired, ya?
Re: 09 RDX base maps
You should only adjust timing on the dyno where you can see the power changes and measure knock safely. It is best to adjust timing to the point it stops making power and then back it off a little for safety.

Re: 09 RDX base maps
As far as boost goes, my table is very simple and looks like this:
I remember the conversion you directed me to, but I'm confused about how that plays here. It says bar in parentheses, but it can't be 2.0 bar, right? What would be the highest I can have this go to safely.-

Clearly, this one is not a drawing...and this is just a photo of Target Boost from a stock calibration:
Thanks!Re: 09 RDX base maps
Please read: https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/pressure-d_587.html
you have 1bar of pressure at atmospheric pressure, this is measure from a full vacuum of 0bar.

Re: 09 RDX base maps
Would it be beneficial to get the 4 bar hondata MAP sensor? What would this allow?

Re: 09 RDX base maps
And what's the difference between what the sensor can read, and what is safe to boost up to? Also, If I am understanding, the first three RPMs are 1.928, 1.816, and 1.875. if we are at 1 bar constant based on 0 vacuum, does this mean these values in psi are: 13.637, 11.991, and 12.859?
Re: 09 RDX base maps
There is no support for aftermarket sensors on the RDX as it's map sensor should be able to handle the boost without issues.
The RDX sensor is 2.8 BAR.
The RDX sensor is 2.8 BAR.

Re: 09 RDX base maps
does anyone know what the safest psi boost limit would be for the k23a engine of the RDX? Is there an equation to figure this out roughly, or is the only way to know based on dyno read-out?
Re: 09 RDX base maps
Can we get those numbers to rest psi at least

Re: 09 RDX base maps
I raised it to 2.030, and 2.056, which is (at highest) 15.5psi around 4000-4500 RPM. It is noticeable, but not sure what limits this 2.3L turbo has.
