Engine Management light right after i upload map.

Post by mat91 »

Hi,

Had a rotrex charger fitted two weeks ago and using a etuning service to map the car. The car ran great on base map and a few amended map later. Suddenly one day started the car and idled rough. Revved rough and sounded rough. CEL light came on got the following codes P2184, P0498, P0452 and p2610.

eventually the car never started after checking everything spark plugs, wires and everything looked fine.

Then unplugged 4 bar map sensor and car started but sounded rough then i plugged stock map sensor in and was exactly the same.

I returned the ecu to stock then the car starts up fine and revs fine. No code appears on edu when returned to stock. sometime it revs rough but that maybe because on 1000cc injectors.

If i upload the map to the car without even starting the car the engine light is on with those four codes.

Any help would be appreciated

Can you provide more information:
- relevant modifications (4 bar & 1000cc injectors)
- ECU part number
- vehicle market
- calibration
- a datalog if possible
I'm surprised that it ran with a stock ECU with 1000cc injectors.

The car atm has Hondata 4 bar map sensor and ID 1000cc injectors.

ECU part number is 37820-PCX-G16

UK 2009 S2000

The car starts fine when return to stock. If i put a stock equivalent map on it then car would start without CEL but if i edit injector size to 1000cc then car would not start.

will post data log later.

The calibration is for a US S2000. It will not work in a Euro S2000.

The map has been used on two other cars and working fine till this day.

My mapper is convinced that should not make a difference.

Can you possibly provide a base map to get the car started and idling so i can rule out if their is any mechanical fault.

Again, you cannot use a US calibration in a Euro S2000.

For a base map to start the car just open a new Euro S2000 map, change the MAP sensor and set the injector size. That will be enough to get the car started.

Injector duration looks high for 1000cc injectors. The next step would be to switch the MAP & injectors back to stock and re-test.

I will put the injectors and map back to stock tomorrow and then put the 1000cc ones back it in and try again?

What happens when you click the online menu and choose return to stock?

Still did not start. Put back the id1000 in and stock map sensor and started up first time no problem.

When you chose the return to stock from the online menu, did you have the stock injectors and stock map sensor?

The car was fitted with stock injectors and stock map with the euro map and car never started then I done the return to stock option and car still did not start and after that I fitted the 1000cc injectors with stock map sensor and return to stock option on FP car started no problem. I am confused why didn't the car start up on stock injectors and stock map sensor
