Spark plug gap issue

I tuned a b16a turbo with hondata cpr and I'm using bkr8eix spark plugs. When boost comes in engine starts to misfire (at 0.023inch plug gap), then I lower the gap to 0.020inch and it doesn't help. After I gapped the plugs to 0.011inch gap engine runs great, but I think that there is something wrong and the gap should be around 0.020inch. What you advise me to check, engine grounds are perfect, cpr working correct, spark plugs are new and they gapped carefully (center electrode is ok). Engine specs are: b16a2 with b18c camshafts, 9.5 compression, boost is 18psi with garrett gt3076 turbine.

Gorund at a23, igntion power at a24, icm at a22 and altc at a16.
Spark plugs are NGK BKR8EIX
Coil are from K20A

Thanks for help.

Try gapping the plugs to a more normal gap of .04inch. With the CPR you should be able to run this way. and will have a more powerful spark. See if that helps resolve the issue.

First I start woth 0.032inch and it misfires than I started to reduce the gap. With that much gap, engine misfires when boost comes on. I know that it should be around 0.03-0.04 inch but the only gap which doesn't misfire is 0.11inch. At 0.04 inch I think it will misfire too badly. You want me to try?

It sounds like there may be some other issue if you can only run a gap that small. Take pictures of all the engine bay grounds.

Here are the pictures. Ecu location is plastic, so ecu is not touch to chassis but ground connected via ecu wirings.

The grounds are most likely the source of all your problems. Remove them all, get the factory service manual and only use the factory grounds in the factory locations. If you are unsure of what needs to be done, take the car to one of our dealers so they can assist you in this endeavor.

Oh no, don't tell me it's another misfire thread! Best thing to do is either go back to stock distributor, or go with another brand of coil on plug. I learned to live with my CPR misfire. No matter what I tried, it still misfires.

That is the most common mistake made with engine bay grounds. The valve cover is rubber isolated. The ground is not doing anything. It should go to the stud.
