New CPR install, misfiring

Post by boofman11 »

Hello, just had a perfectly good and running 96 b18c with an OEM distributor with less than 30k miles on it. It literally ran perfect before i installed this kit. Using SManager 2.7.4.0.

Installed CPR kit, left all parts inside of distributor. Starts and idles but there is an obvious miss either at idle and throughout the RPM range.

Checked the t-stat ground to bat and it wasn't 0.0ohms, so i ran a 4 gauge wire from the t-stat directly to the neg cable, no improvement.

Cleaned all ground lugs and surfaces with a wire brush, no improvement.

Changed out OEM RSX coils with a set of Accel supercoils, no improvement.

When running green and red light stay on and yellow flickers quickly. Is that normal? Running out of ideas, and very frustrated.

Where do you have all the grounds connected for this. Post pictures of all your engine bay grounds.

I ended up removing the whole CPR system, its clearly to much of a hassle to get working correctly.
