There's big advantages in live tuning, not just from the upload speed, but specifically because it does not do an ECU reset. This is important when you are tuning ignition, as every upload resets the knock control and you need to run the engine under medium load for many minutes to get the knock control back down. Hmmm ... is there anything that could be done to reset the ECU while live tuning without having to do a full upload? I assumed that clearing DTC's would reset the ECU, so that is usually something I do before clicking update all live tuning tables.
