How to hook up wideband to ECT2

Post by Crit »

Hi, I'm a little confused about how to hook up the wideband signal from my wideband controller to the ecu. The instructions from hondata say to remove the pin from the ECU connector?

"ECT2 (Second water temperature sensor). The Second ECT sensor must be disabled and the factory pin must be removed from the ECU connector."

Can't I just cut the wire coming out of the connector position A44, tape up the wire that goes to the engine loom and connect the analog output of my wideband controller to the other end of the cut wire that goes to the ecu connector A44?

We do not ever recommend cutting the factory wires as it usually causes more problems on down the road. IT is best to de-pin connections so they can easily be put back.
