I think we're finally there, no knock on this one. If you can, make another complete 20 minute datalog on Thursday or Friday with a fourth gear pull. If it all looks good then we can call it good to go.

Here is datalog17. I feel a little bit of power lost. Let me know how the log looks. Let me know if you're able to put a little more into it or are we maxed out for now.

The power lost is low to mid range. If there is nothing else we can do for now other then cleaning up the knock I’ll be good with it until I get some part in. Let me know how it’s looking.

Let me go back and look through trends of the knock and see which cylinders are most sensitive to see what I can find. Last time I did look for the trends, it seemed like each cylinder has experienced knock at some point. Meaning one time it was cylinder 1, the next time cylinder 3, then cylinder 2 the next. If it was all in one cylinder I would say to check plugs and other ideas. I could also reduce the ignition in that one cylinder, if only one cylinder was our culprit of course. The fact that one of the four cylinders is sensitive on each pull is what makes it difficult.

The way 9th gens work is that you have to valley the ignition in the mid range for knock. Something about the way the intake manifold is designed requires this. On an 8th gen, you leave the ignition pretty much flat throughout the rpms range. I've got you down to around 12* of ignition in the valley and it is still producing knock.

All I can really do remotely is remove the knock as best I can. Then if you plan to get a dyno tune at some point, my only hope is that the tuner focuses on the knock and not just tune it for power and send you out the door producing large amounts of knock. Which I have seen on numerous occasions and it's frustrating. Hondata states that some knock is not a big issue, I don't take that chance with other peoples cars. All I can really do is try to get it as safe as possible for you guys so you can have fun with it.

Let me go back and look through the trends as I mention I'll see what I can come up with. Maybe some cam angle changes might reduce the sensitivity, but I will see what I can do.

Haven't forgot about you. Been a chaotic couple days and I'm trying to finish a plan for your setup. Hopefully I'll have something for you tomorrow night.

Okay so I've looked over everything trying to come up with a plan. I made some changes to the a few things in this one to see how it reacts. This is using Rev9.3 as a base, since that is the one you liked the most, 9.2 and 9.3 anyways. Take this one for a run and we'll see how it all looks. Make a third gear pull, and then a fourth gear pull up to 7000 or so, I don't want you to go too fast on the street.

I am hopeful this gives you the best of both worlds.

What Rpm do you want me to start in 3rd? Do you want me to start in 3rd and finish in 4th all on one log or 2 different logs?

3000 or so is fine. Everything looks good down low, I just want to see a full run in each gear. Make one pull in third, and one in fourth. If you do a 3-4 pull the rpms may not dip low enough to see where the knock was occurring in fourth before. So one in third from 3000-7600, and one in fourth from 3000-7000. Redline in fourth gets you going pretty fast, so I try to keep you from getting too wild on the street.

I'm sorry, I glossed over that. Yes one log is fine, I can trim and edit to make two if needed. Sorry.

Here is datalog18. I went ahead and put them in 2 different logs so you don't have to trim anything. Let me know how they look.

Looks like my adjustments worked. How did it feel? Looked like it pulled pretty good on the third gear pull. I didn't change any timing in the tables or cam angles from the one you liked, which is why I'm curious what you think.

I made some small adjustments back from what I did in the this last one, take this one for a third and a fourth gear pull and let's see if we can confirm that we're in a good place. If possible, try to do the pulls in similar outside temperatures so we can compare apples to apples.

Here is the next one.

It did pull good in datalog18. Here is datalog19. In this log it did feel good to. Take a look and let me know how it looks compared to the last one.
