Horsepower and torque gauges

Post by Janz3n »

Hi, i just recently got the new hondata mobile app and was playing around with it and noticed it had a real time hp and tq reading. how accurate is this?? how is it calculated. i have a 2015 si with intake and downpipe and it reads about 214hp and 200tq peak and find these reading to be rather high.

thanks for the reply. seems as though my assumption of it reading too high is right. still like to know how hondata is calculating these numbers.

It uses airflow to calculate torque, and then hp from torque.

Probably ok for comparative changes, but it is not going to replace a dyno.

I have 2019 Honda type r. I just tuned the car with flashpro with 93oct, Prl downpipe, Prl HVI “race” intake. The hondata app is showing that I’m hitting 361 horsepower. Could this be accurate or am I pushing a little less than that?

I saw that that the app is measuring the air to provide toque numbers and torque numbers give the horsepower.

Just what to have an idea how off or accurate it is.

Thank you

This will not replace an actual dyno and will allow you to compare the numbers with each other but will not be accurate.
