Hi guys,
Recently purchased a Palm m515 to use for datalogging with my s200 system, but am a bit stuck as to which cable I'm supposed to use to connect it up ? I know it needs to be a null modem cable, but I can't seem to find the right one I should be using (I'm not able to try any at the moment, but I'd like to buy the right one for when I can).
I've looked through ebay and found this ...
Would that do it ? its ideal for me since a. its not very expensive and b. its 1m long ... its also got a female connector at the serial end, so I assume that'd just plug straight into the s200 unit.
If thats not suitable, could someone point me at the right cable (either on http://www.pcables.com/ or whatever) so I can get my hands on one ? the only thing I've been able to find is the PDCTU-M9-6 cable from http://www.pcables.com/cat2.html ... but that appears to be VERY short and wouldn't really be very useable I'm afraid .
Any help would be much appreciated !
Cheers
Doug
EDIT: If that cable would do ... but with some modification, could someone please tell me what needs to be done ? Cheers again !
Palm m515 connection lead ...
The cable needs to be a modem cable, not a hotsync cable. The ebay cable doesn't say what it is but probably will work.
It appears that PN cables doesn't list the PDCM5-M9-6 any more, but it could be just a problem with their website.
Also the P500NM from Pawgo http://www.pawgo.com/desktop/shop.html might work too.
