Kpro erase security error and upload error HELP!!

Post by Usamah_o »

Hi Guys I’m new here recently bought a dc5 with a PRB kpro V1 (code 05000228).
The car was running dreadful so I thought I would clear the old map and upload a base map. However I tried to clear the map and it kept showing an error repeatedly.
Randomly at one point I was able to clear the map, so I thought I would upload the base map and that’s it sorted. I WAS WRONG!!! Uploading the base map results in an instant error, tried erasing the security again just incase but that’s showing an error again. Now I’m sat here with a DC5 with no map and Iv tried to search for answers but no luck

Things Iv tried
- updated kmanager
- tried updating the usb drivers but it says they’re up to date
- closed and opened kmanager again
- unbolted the ECU from the holding cage
- checked earths
- updated laptop
- retried erasing & uploading but repeatedly failing and errors

Someone please help me as I need the car running 😓

What does it tell you as errors ? The only thing i can say about uploading maps that helps is be sure to launch kmanager with an internet connection

Thanks for the reply, the errors that show up when trying to upload a new calibration(map) is upload failed and trying to erase ecu just says clear security failed.

Also I have it connected to the internet at all times when trying

Open the ECU and make sure that the K-Pro board is seated on the pins correctly in the ECU.

I have checked the board and made sure the screw is on tight enough and hasn’t backed

remove the screw and remove the K-Pro and then make sure it is seated on the pins correctly.
