I had 3 guys with typeS's drop by to see if I could fix their idle's since 1227 came out. All 3 have different cal's, and mods. The only common factor was they all had early serial#'d Kpro's. The only fix was to hand transfer their cal's over to 1226(on my laptop) and reload to their ECU's. Look's like I won't be upgrading any time soon.

- what sort of ECU you are using
Stock ECU that was sent to Hondata for K-pro mod
- anything about the car which has been modified from stock which may affect the ECU (don't include what sort of rims you have nor stereo etc).
JRSC - R version

Injen (New) CAI

- a specific description of the problem

I updated to 1227 and when I made a few corrections to the parameters and tables my idle started acting funny. The car warms up and idles around 1100-1300 RPMs but the idle is set at 850 RPMs. If I give it some gas it increases then decreases in a wave type of pattern for three to five cycles then goes back to idling between 1100-1300. I have already cleaned the IAC months ago and it has been idling fine so I definately know its not that and it only started today after I upgraded to 1227.

Here is the datalog on 1.2.2.6 with the k20A3 JRSC-R 440 CC base map. No idle problems.

What else does Hondata need to start reviewing the discrepancy or whatever it is because I'll data log and send anything needed? Not sure if Hondata is waiting to respond based on more input from the K-pro community?

Went back to my tuner since he has not upgraded to 1227. Had him re-upload my .kal. Car runs FINE without changing fuel trim as suggested. I will definitely be less likely to update in the future. :x

We're trying to find out what ECUs are affected. The problem is that there always is a lot of 'me too' problem reporting, so it is hard to distingush the real from imagined problems. If people would follow the guidelines and report their vehicle, ECU and calibration it would help greatly.

After our initial testing: The idle has changed from 1.2.2.6 to 1.2.2.7 for PNF calibrations only. The workaround is to reduce the idle duty slider approximately 1 unit to the left.

Found the problem and issued a new release - V1.2.2.8. Remember that it takes about 3 cold/hot driving cycles after any upload than you make before the idle learns fully.

Thanks for your patience.

I'll try it this weekend and report any problems. Thanks guys for taking us seriously on the idle fluctuations.

Like most is this forum I was having problems with the idle in 1227 - even playing with the slider didn't do much (in order to get the idle stable the slider was so far to the left that the car would stall on me). going back to 1226 fixed the problem. Just installed 1228 an hour ago and took it for a quick spin - the problems I had with 1227 seem to be gone! Thanks a ton Hondata for getting it fixed quick!
