Water/Meth Injection help.. *fixed* Diagram Made

Post by fearthis4 »

I recently received my Hondata S300 unit and I haven't got the chance to mess with it just yet..
However on my next set-up I'm going to be running a custom Water/Meth injection set-up in a attempt to break 400whp on pump gas in a D16z6..

Any ways I'm wanting to have the water/meth system controlled by S300 so that all I have to do is flip a switch on the dash and the water/meth system activates, as well as the secondary map (which will be running more aggressive timing w/ higher boost w/ the injection..etc),
But I would also like it to switch back to the first map (less boost, less aggressive timing..etc) automatically when the float switch indicates water is low, and or the pressure switch located after the pump senses too high of a pressure (caused by a clog)..etc fail safe

I know this is possible with S300 that's why I purchased it... :)
I just want to know if anyone has done this before, and if so do they have some sort of diagram to help me figure out this wiring mess..lol
I could figure it out myself if I had to but I find it easier to have instructions from people that are a little more advanced in these areas..

Thanks in advance,
and yes I have searched but I have had a lot of trouble finding this..

Look up nitrous control. You'll need to install some relays in order to have mulit switch/output for this to work.

Hondata failsafes, but not in the manner I think you're looking to have it do.

perhaps you can wire the switch to the floater, then floater to the ecu in a series circuit. With switch and floater completing circuit, 2nd map engages. when floater gets low, circuit disengages, back to primary map.

I will try that thanks...
What Fail safes does it offer?

Makes sense... I probably have to to that...

Thanks for the quick replies...[/quote]

of intrest to you would be a/f ratio protection.

I'm assuming wideband...
so Hondata has the abilityt to use the A/F ratio as a fail safe....
If this is tru... I have also read that water/meth changes the A/F ratio..is this correct?
And if it does have this ability to use A/F ratio as a failsafe, (Which I'm assuming is the lean protection) can it revert to standard map upon detection..?

Sry about all the questions I'm just so new to this thing...

Download the smanager and read through the help file. It has much of the info you need.

when water/meth is spraying, you'll want to advance timing and lower fuel. Make sure you do have a wideband sensor wired up as well. Hondata has Lean protection as one of their failsafes. The dyno is the best way to get the tuning as perfect as possible.
