P28 auto with s300

P28 auto with s300

Hey all I just bought an eg5 auto with d16z vtec engine.
It says s300 won't work with auto p28 ECU which is what I have.
I'm planning to do manual conversion so is it still ok to use my p28 auto ECU with s300 or does it physically not work ?

As long as the vehicle has a manual transmission then you can use it.
