egt logging by connecting the sensor to my ecu?

Post by goose21 »

Would it be possible to log my egt sensor on my hondalogger if i just connnect the sensor to my eld input on my ecu. This way i can see how many volt the sensor gives. Would this work and what do i have to look out for??

If your EGT outputs an analog 0-5V output I guess you could connect it to the o2 sensor input or ELD input and datalog that. If the EGT sensor you're talking about is a just a thermocouple without any other electronics, which I suspect it is, then you can't connect it as you described.

It should work. Use +5V from one of the sensors (eg Vcc2 or Vcc3), not 12V
