Hall Sensor Question

Post by ej1_ex »

I have a quick question. I am running a hall sensor when they say ground the ground wire on the sensor is it to body ground or ecu ground?

I think this diagram may help (from the help file).

The sensor ground should be the same ground as the Traction Control ground. This should be the same as the ECU ground to keep the ground loop short.

No, the +5V is a 5V power supply for the sensor. You could get this from one of the ECU VCC outputs or from an external power supply.

If the sensor allow it then +12V would work as well, and be easier.

You still need the VSS for the ECU.
