FN2 Rotrex basemap - free for all

Post by typer86 »

Hi all,

I have created a MAF based calibration for all FN2 modified Rotrex supercharger builds.

ATTENTION:
No warranty if this will work for your build!
- Only use this calibration if you know what are you doing!
- Ignition is reduced for low and high cam
- A dyno and a experianced tuner for help, to answer questions and adjusting the ecu will reach your perfect tune faster...

Starting calibration is based on:

RC750cc injectors
OE cat, 70mm after cat exhaust
4 Bar Hondata MAP sensor

Tuning guideline: (easy way)

Tuning the FUELING @ first
Drive around for approx 15 min and log the ecu data with your flashpro. After driving download the log and load the XY graph. For details click the link below:
#1: https://www.hondata.com/tech-tuning-boost-afm

Tuning closed loop:
> Adjust AFMfuel only! (Do not edit the AFMflow - it is calibrated!!)
>> If the AFMfuel is to rich (XY graph is -5 or more, mark the section and reduce (lean up) the number in the field: injector (ms) (Press: CTRL + J > add "+" (enrich) or reduce "-" (lean) in the menu: percentage adjustment...) .
>> If to lean, add fuel increase the number in the field: injector (ms)

Tuning WOT:
>> For WOT tuning, also the AFMfuel will be used.
Load the log and click in the fp manager on graph > slide to the end so all data will be displayed (otherwise after loading the log the lambda content will not displayed in the tables...)
>> Open in the FP manager the "tables" > 1 or 2 fuel (show high speed fuel tables)
>> @Column 10 to rev limiter the targeted lambda of 0.80-0.81 must be reached. (For boosting)

After editing the AFMfuel, you must fine tune the WOT table (+-1 to 3%)
NOTE do not enter >0.85 otherwise the ecu will not switching in the open loop...

Tuning the max ignition for best power @ the end of the tuning process
I have reduced the ignition for low cam for a safe start on columns:
- 6-7 for 3 degrees
- 8 to 20 for 4 degrees

For high cam: ignition on column
- 6-7 for 2 degrees
- 8 to 12 for 3 degrees
- 13 to 18 for 4 degrees
- 19 to 20 for 5 degrees

Keep the eye on the knock indicator. If your engine is knocking reduce the ignition (reduce -2 degrees is a good start) Retest and reduce additional 2 degrees if necessary...
Increase the values carefully (increase +2 is a good, retest). To much advance will damage/blow up the engine instantly.

Determine the max power on the dyno

@ hondata, if you like you can enter this starting calibration in your FP manager if a new calibration will loaded - to find the correct starting calibration faster for all tuners...

Why MAF? It should be Map based?

You can use this calibration for both...
To use/activate the fuel tables only, load the attached base map > calibration > fuel: and untick "AFM enabled" and tick "use speed density..."
in result the fuel tables will be available. Let the WOT tables untouched if you're use the fuel tables only...

Please note:
The fuel tables must be tuned individually from you!

If some e-tune you would like. Please contact me via pm. I have spent month to fine tune the Rotrex kit for the FN and I can say it is perfect tuned for max power and best fuel effency.
